A Orthodox faith based charity, IOCC offers emergency relief and development programs to those in need worldwide, without discrimination, and strengthens the capacity of the Orthodox Church to so respond. IOCC helps to enable those in need to continue to improve their own lives and communities and to have the means to live with dignity, respect and hope.

In 2011, Michael Herzak Sr. and his wife, Paula, received the Diana Zamiska Award for their exemplary work and dedication to the mission of International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC). Involved for more than 17 years, both Michael and Paula have been chairman of the Metropolitan Cleveland Chapter of the IOCC.
